Natural Perfection
By Anne Dorcas

Have you ever noticed the sheer perfection in nature?  Like when ants climb up peonies and nibble at their buds to set the flowers free.  Whether they crawl up because, as nature would have it, it always seems to rain when peonies are budding, or whether the sweet sap or pollen is what attracts the crawling creatures, either way, nature perfectly supports the blooming of these fragrant flowers.  We too are being supported by the same natural perfection.  You may recognize this in little synchronicities – those so-called coincidences that give you chills when you realize they weren’t coincidence at all.  Miracles abound even if we sometimes fail to observe them.

Direct experience teaches us truth, or at least what we perceive as our reality.  Too often, this reality is tainted by media reports of cruel and violent acts.  From what we hear, see or read, we must unfortunately deduce that our world is far less than perfect nowadays.  Will the pollution caused by our present methods of transportation destroy our planet’s atmosphere?  Will the current consumerism and ingestion of chemically processed and radiated foods continue to cause cancer and illness?  Will our Earth continue to retaliate with hurricanes, quakes and floods?  And what will it take for the masses to awaken to their pure potential?  Will such an awakening occur before the next nuclear bomb explodes?

A new awareness is evolving on the planet, as many of us are choosing to heal the imbalances that have for so long held us in fear and stagnation.  As we move beyond asking the question, “What can we do about it?” we are realizing we have far more power to change things than we once imagined.  Through experience, we are seeing the way our thoughts, feelings and intentions are creating the situations we encounter along the journey of our growth.

Then, the question changes to, “If we’re creating our reality, then our quest for a peaceful Earth must be a possibility”.  Once we clear negative thought patterns, unravel unsupportive beliefs and emotions and open to love, while letting go of fear, surely we can manifest the global changes we desire.  Of course, this process needs to begin with the changes we are willing to create within our own individual lives.

An inspiring e-mail I read some time ago related that if you want to become a butterfly, you must want to fly so much that you’re willing to give up being a caterpillar.

Change can take place from a third-dimensional standpoint –  perhaps we decide to walk, cycle or skate more often and use our motor vehicles less, or develop methods to switch to solar energy.  We may choose to grow our own foods, or become vegetarian.  But how do we awaken to, and free ourselves form the inner conflicts – the fears that are at the foundation of unfeeling acts and behaviour?  It begins with a willingness to take a step forward.  Once we make the decision to move to a more conscious way of being, we will find a great deal of support in the process.

If we look on the surface, to all that is unfolding on the planet, we could easily surmise that we’re all living in different worlds.  There are those desperately hanging on as their homes and the people around them are destroyed.  Others are wondering where the next meal will come from, or where their next available source of clean water will be.  And yet others are wondering what expensive car or house might fulfill their desire for comfort and luxury.  Some have found the inner peace and bliss many strive for, while others look to a dark corner under an overpass for a shelter to call home.  But it’s all one world.  The truth beyond this illusion of being separate – from each other and from the Source of all that exists – is being shattered time and time again as we begin to remember our true nature.

Changes are bound to happen even if we don’t consciously choose so.  If, as many suspect, there’s really nothing we can do to prevent the disasters happening in our world today, nature will still be taking its perfect course.  However, if we’re able to free ourselves from our greatest fears, and to open up and see beyond whatever illusions are taking place, it may be easier to keep our center as we “go with the flow”.  Like the great river flowing freely to its source, we will flow where we need to because, just as it always has, nature will be taking care of things.
